graduated medicine from Monash University. She spent several years training as a physician at Prince Henry's Hospital in Melbourne with an interest in endocrinology before changing her focus to obstetrics and gynaecology.
She moved to Sydney in 1996 and obtained a position at The Royal Hospital for Women where she began her formal training and subsequently became a Fellow in Reproductive Medicine. In addition she started a Master of Medicine through the University of Sydney. In 2004, she obtained a position at the prestigious McGill University in Montreal under the guidance of Prof. SL Tan and completed a further intense two year felllowship in Reproductive Endocrinology.
In addition, she has had training in minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery with an emphasis on the surgical treatment of infertility. She has worked with Prof Van Caillie at the Royal Hospital for Women Sydney and Prof. Togas Tulandi in Montreal, both prominent laparascopic surgeons. In 2006 she completed the Advanced Integrated Training Program in Minimal Access Pelvic Surgery under Prof A. Lam.
